About The Position
VHB’s Tampa, FL office is looking for a talented intern to join our team for Summer 2026 to support our Land Development, Transportation, Planning & Design, and Environmental teams. The intern program is designed to round out participants’ academic learning with real world experience and help them explore related areas of practice to find the best fit for their career path.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, environmental science, GIS, or a related field
- Knowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Team oriented with strong capability to work independently
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
- Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions
- Assist in data mining and visualization
- Perform analysis of data or calculations
- Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
- Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
