About The Position
Collins is offering a Summer 2027 opportunity for an undergraduate civil engineering student to gain experience in highway design at its Canton, Massachusetts, office. The position involves designing roadways and developing highway plans, including construction plans, corridor modeling, roadway profiles, drainage improvements, and traffic control plans. The intern will also learn to develop estimates and supporting documents for a variety of projects. The intern will work alongside licensed professional engineers to create plan sets for construction, with the goal of growing the office’s Civil / Highway group. Relocation is available.
Requirements
- Be a junior or senior working toward a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Have a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blue Beam, or Civil 3D.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software.
