Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join its Las Vegas, Nevada office. This is not a remote position. Interns contribute to civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for projects of varying sizes and scopes. They use technical software regularly to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables; assist project managers and collaborate across disciplines to help develop clients’ visions for the built environment; and become familiar with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and its clients’ practices, procedures, and standards. Interns will learn one or more discipline-specific software programs, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS. Kimley-Horn describes its culture as focused on people, clients, employee development, and providing an environment where employees can flourish. The company states that its employee retention, benefits package, and company values have contributed to its placement on the Fortune “100 Best Companies to Work” list for 19 years.
