About The Position
American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking motivated individuals pursuing education or careers in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related fields for AET's Summer 2027 Internships. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related degree.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with equipment and testing procedures such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
Responsibilities
- Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
- Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
- Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
