About The Position

Viaflex is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a summer internship. The intern will complete projects and tasks within the internship period, work with an assigned mentor and manager, and provide periodic updates on project progress. The position includes frequent travel to and from Viaflex job sites, participation in company training and events, and an end-of-summer presentation. The intern is also expected to learn, understand, continually improve, and promote the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without close supervision.
Problem-solving abilities.
Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
Flexibility and ability to multitask.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Responsibilities

Complete projects as assigned within the internship discipline.
Travel frequently to and from Viaflex job sites.
Attend Viaflex-sponsored training and educational seminars.
Engage in and participate in Viaflex-sponsored events.
Work closely with an assigned mentor and manager to successfully complete the internship.
Provide periodic project updates to managers and peers.
Complete an end-of-summer internship presentation.
Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in daily actions and encourage team members to do the same.
Perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature or assist in other areas as needed.
Learn, understand, continuously improve, and promote the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
