About The Position

The Civil Engineering Construction Inspector performs civil engineering construction inspection of various projects including roads, sidewalks, bike paths, bridges, buildings, structures, sewers, water mains, landfills, and environmental projects. Responsibilities include plan review and inspection of construction, ordinance enforcement, traffic control, and basic design-drafting-surveying tasks. The role also involves performing drafting duties using computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD), managing records and data, and handling office work related to surveying and construction inspection. Additionally, the inspector will perform field surveying and assist with construction inspection, basic design, and drafting tasks. The work requires a range of competencies in various areas.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED
Minimum 3 years progressive construction inspection experience
Must attend all Safety Training required by Supervisor or Regulatory agencies
Valid Driver’s License
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, processes, procedures, principles and practices for Road Work, Sidewalk and Bike path, Sewer, Water Main, Soil erosion control, Construction traffic control, General duties associated with construction inspection, Work safety procedures and precautions.

Responsibilities
