About The Position

Ardurra is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our staff in our Houston, TX office. Ardurra is a multidisciplinary civil engineering services firm which provides broad-based solutions tailored to the specific needs of the public and private sector. We leverage the depth of our professional and technical expertise, as well as our integrated structure, to deliver practical, innovative solutions for our clients. Our Public Works teams provide planning, design, and engineering services for a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects. Our work includes water and sanitary sewer utilities, water mains and transmission lines, utility relocations, roadway and paving improvements, drainage infrastructure, and other public infrastructure improvements that support growing communities. This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of municipal Public Works projects, including water and sanitary sewer systems, water transmission lines, roadway utilities, utility relocations, paving and roadway improvements, drainage, and other municipal infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers while developing your technical skills and gaining hands-on experience throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Approximately 0–1 years of experience in engineering or related fields (internship experience preferred but not required)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other civil engineering design software is preferred
  • EIT certification (or ability to obtain within one year) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of municipal Public Works projects, including water mains, sanitary sewer systems, transmission lines, roadway utilities, paving and roadway improvements, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations and assist with analysis and design of municipal infrastructure systems.
  • Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist with utility coordination, including identification and resolution of utility conflicts and relocations.
  • Perform field investigations, data collection, site visits, and construction observations.
  • Support permitting and coordination efforts with municipalities, utility providers, and other agencies.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines throughout project development.
  • Assist with construction-phase services, including review of submittals and responses to contractor questions.
  • Support project teams in delivering high-quality projects for municipal clients.
