About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Civil Engineer (4+ years) to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging projects across multiple markets. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) required
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in site development
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• A desire to work with a collaborative team and to grow professionally
• Excellent time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure preferred
• Ability to be licensed in Washington State and to practice civil engineering
• Experience and/or interest in general site engineering

Responsibilities

• Creating conceptual plans
• Preparing construction plans
• Working with junior and senior civil engineers
• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and architects
• Visiting construction sites
• Providing technical assistance during design and construction
• Preparing site plans
• Grading and drainage plans
• Stormwater management design
• Water and sanitary sewer utility plans
• Pedestrian accessibility
• Other associated improvements
