As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer (EI) in our Las Cruces Traffic and Drainage Engineering Group, you will work alongside industry experts to develop solutions for infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Graduated by May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• At least a 3.0 GPA.
• Earned your Engineer Intern (EI) certification or will be able to achieve your EI certification within 12 months of employment.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, ESRI ArcMap, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• A self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to innovate.
• A proactive learner who welcomes feedback and continuously seeks improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Support grading, earthwork, roadway, and utility (water, wastewater, gas) design efforts.
• Prepare design drawings, maintain project records, and contribute to preliminary engineering reports.
• Develop and maintain GIS databases and perform computer-based engineering analyses.
• Contribute to accurate budgeting and cost estimation for engineering projects.
• Participate in inspection duties to ensure quality and compliance during construction phases.
