About The Position

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a strong skill set in drainage basin delineation, hydrologic analysis, and hydraulic design of drainage systems. The role involves pre- and post-development comparative analysis, sizing and placement of surface and subsurface drainage structures, and the design of detention/retention structures and flow control structures. Responsibilities also include site layout, earthwork balancing, geometric design of roadways, and the selection and integration of stormwater BMPs. Experience in concrete and steel design is also required. An ideal candidate will have experience in designing for industrial and petrochemical facilities and be comfortable leading design efforts and mentoring junior engineers. This position is located in South Louisiana, with relocation assistance available for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Civil Engineer with strong skill sets in drainage basin delineation, hydrologic analysis, and hydraulic design of drainage systems
Experience in pre- and post-development comparative analysis
Experience in sizing/placement of surface drainage structures (ditches)
Experience in design and sizing of subsurface drainage structures and systems
Experience in sizing/design of detention/retention structures
Experience in design and selection of flow control structures
Experience in site layout and earthwork balancing
Experience in geometric design of roadways
Experience in selection and integration of appropriate/required stormwater BMPs into drainage systems
General experience in concrete and steel design
Comfortable leading design efforts and working with younger engineers
Located in the South Louisiana area or willing to relocate
