About The Position

The Toledo, MI team is looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues like quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience as an Entry Level Civil Engineer. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

  • EIT certification

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, along with site planning and design.
  • Conducting site assessments, designing erosion and sediment control measures, reviewing water quality compliance for industrial general stormwater permit holders, and mitigating flooding and citizen concerns via capital improvements designs.
  • Supporting task management activities.
  • Performing site visits, analyzing water quality, troubleshooting processes, and periodic site construction observation.
  • Gathering critical data and ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of water, wastewater, and storm systems.
  • Designing and coordinating site civil plans for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, including site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, demolition plans, associated design details, grading and utility plans, and the inclusion of all applicable general notes.
  • Assisting with permits and multi-disciplinary coordination to ensure capital improvements can be designed and constructed in a timely manner.
  • Supporting preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participating in client meetings.
  • Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitating coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
  • Working independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Learning and using digital tools and software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SharePoint, and other technology platforms, to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery.
