About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio of municipal infrastructure and private-sector site development projects throughout Iowa. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects ranging from roadway and utility improvements to commercial and residential site development. Exposure to a varied portfolio of municipal and private-sector civil engineering projects. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Iowa, or the ability to obtain registration
• Ideally at least 5 years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience with project management, design, and client coordination
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and consistently meet project deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach and genuine interest in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions

Responsibilities

• Work on and help lead civil engineering projects from initial concept and planning through design and construction
• Assist with the design of municipal infrastructure and private site development projects
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders
• Coordinate internal resources and external partners to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations
• Develop project proposals, budgets, schedules, and scopes of work
• Monitor project performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain successful project delivery
• Ensure engineering work meets quality standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry specifications
• Provide project leadership while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting less-experienced staff
