About The Position

Water and Environmental Technologies, Inc (WET) is an organization founded on providing quality, cost-effective consulting services to our clients, and dedication to our employees and communities. WET is a 100% employee-owned technical consulting firm, headquartered in Butte, Montana, that provides our clients with geoscience and engineering solutions on projects throughout Montana, Wyoming, and the Western US. WET is seeking a full-time self-motivated Civil Engineer who can independently apply core engineering principles and design standards to a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will bring practical experience and technical knowledge to support the development of effective and constructible design solutions. The successful applicant will collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary design teams to prepare high-quality project deliverables. Responsibilities include preparing engineering reports, developing design plans and calculations, quantity take-offs, construction administration, and supporting various phases of project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University.
  • EI certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience is required.
  • Basic MS Office skills including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.
  • Basic AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability under company policy required.

Nice To Haves

  • PE license preferred.
  • An EI certification is required, PE license is preferred but not required.
  • Survey experience and materials testing certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitary Sewer collection system design.
  • Stormwater treatment and storage.
  • Water system pumping facilities and distribution design.
  • Design of roads, parking lots, subdivisions, and site-developments.
  • Utilize design software to apply engineering standards of design.
  • Ability to understand and assist in the preparation of construction plans and specifications.
  • Perform construction administration tasks such as project bidding, construction inspection/oversight, documentation of daily activities, materials testing, and interaction with contractors, subcontractors, residents, and others.
  • Review for quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with WET standards.
  • Convey design analysis and results effectively in written reports and documentation.
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication.
  • Travel to WET job sites, and other WET offices, as necessary.
  • Be safety conscious at all times.
