About The Position

A Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Civil Engineer to their Orlando team. This role involves managing civil/water resources study and design projects, assisting with business development in Florida, and developing hydrologic/hydraulic models of stormwater systems. The engineer will prepare drainage studies and stormwater masterplans, analyze and design municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities, and address resiliency, LID, Sea Level Rise, and climate change impacts in design. Responsibilities also include preparing plans and specifications for construction, performing quality control, and handling permitting with various agencies. The role also involves preparing competitive proposals, participating in client interviews, and representing the firm at meetings.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of civil project design experience
  • Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity)
  • Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation
  • Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics
  • Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction
  • Expertise with H&H modeling (Stormwise/ICPR preferred)
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is preferred) and ArcGIS preferred

Responsibilities
