Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EI required; PE preferred or willingness to obtain.
• 5-10+ years in civil design, land development, transportation, sewer, water, or drainage systems.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ARC-GIS, WaterCAD, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Design Civil Infrastructure: Develop transportation networks, drainage systems, flood control structures, and water/sewer systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other tools.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to LaDOTD, USACE, FEMA, and EPA standards, preparing and submitting permits as needed.
• Support Construction: Oversee design implementation, conduct inspections, and coordinate with contractors to resolve field modifications.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with structural engineers, geotechnical specialists, and surveyors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Engage Clients and Stakeholders: Present engineering insights and work to align projects with client needs and municipal requirements.
• Deliver Quality Results: Manage documentation, prepare reports, and review calculations to maintain top-tier deliverables.
