About The Position

Foundation Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team. This role involves performing take-offs and material quotes, answering technical and engineering questions, and continuously learning to become a subject matter expert. The engineer will also identify new project opportunities and follow up with potential customers. The position requires a BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural engineering, 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in standard engineering documentation and computer software. Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Requirements

BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural engineering; or its demonstrated equivalent
5 years Civil/Geotechnical or Structural experience
Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, basic CAD)
Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are necessary.
Strong customer service experience
Easy to work with
Curious
Hard Worker/Self-Starter

Nice To Haves

EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform take-offs and material quotes for contractors.
Track and follow up on projects.
Provide engineering support and technical guidance to engineers and contractors.
Be actively involved in “Technical committees” to stay engaged with the engineering community.
Working with the sales team to proactively identify value engineering opportunities where helical piles/anchors are a viable alternative.
Prepare material submittal packages for customers.
Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
