Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Previous Internship preferred or 1+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or Storm Sewers a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build practical engineering skills including grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Help to design ecological restoration projects that reconnect streams to floodplains, restore wetlands, improve aquatic habitat, enhance water quality, and create lasting benefits for communities.
  • Transform a degraded stream corridor into a thriving ecosystem.
  • Restore hundreds of acres of floodplain and wetlands.
  • Design resilient infrastructure for renewable energy projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, gaining valuable experience and visibility throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct field investigations and drone-assisted site assessments.
  • Perform conceptual design, regulatory permitting, and construction oversight.
