About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Nashville, Tennessee (TN) office is seeking an Engineering Project Manager with 4+ years of experience to join their Zero Emission Vehicles team. This role involves performing site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of projects including renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, transportation, aviation, and industrial projects. In addition to technical expertise, responsibilities include research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance, and preparation of bid packages and technical specifications. The position also requires monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a team of engineers and designers on diverse projects, build meaningful professional relationships, and work closely with industry professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Experience within the Energy discipline including experience with design, permitting, and applicable software applications
  • Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks
  • Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents
  • Design experience that includes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting

Responsibilities

  • Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, transportation, aviation, and industrial projects.
