About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Atlanta, Georgia office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join its Transit team. This is not a remote position. The engineer will contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects, particularly Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects. Work may include corridor concept development, public outreach assistance, and transit evaluation, and requires substantial multidisciplinary coordination.

Requirements

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license, or ability to obtain one within 12 months.
• At least 4 years of transit-focused engineering experience.
• Transit corridor design experience, including BRT and LRT modes.
• Track or guideway design experience.
• Roadway design experience.
• Station design experience, including park-and-ride facilities.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience communicating and working with clients.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written skills.
• Outgoing, self-motivated team player.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to balance priorities across multiple projects.
