About The Position

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking a Civil Engineer. This is a full-time, in-person, direct hire position located in Los Angeles, CA. The role requires a minimum of eight (8) years of full-time paid professional experience in civil design on commercial or public agency projects, preferably in educational facilities. Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD software design and general office computer software. A valid Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering issued by the California State Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists is required. Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory. No relocation funds or per diem will be offered, and candidates must be located in Southern California.

Requirements

• Graduation from a recognized college and university with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum eight (8) years’ full-time paid professional experience in civil design on commercial or public agency projects, preferably in educational facilities.
• Experience in AutoCAD software design.
• Proficiency in office computer software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
• A valid license as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering issued by the California State Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship from Simplex.
