About The Position
Wilson & Company’s Springfield office is seeking a Civil PE with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. The role involves performing roadway design and modeling, leading and managing project tasks, and collaborating with experienced professionals and other disciplines. This position will primarily focus on projects in Missouri and Kansas, with potential for supporting regional projects. Effective communication and partnership with peers, senior staff, and clients are essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Kansas Professional Engineer licensed or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
- Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.
- Experience in CADD utilizing Microstation.
Nice To Haves
- A background in traffic engineering design can be helpful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation/OpenRoads.
- Lead and manage tasks on projects of various sizes.
- Work with experienced designers and project managers as well as collaborating with other disciplines and subconsultants to deliver projects.
