About The Position

Kleinfelder's Redmond, Washington office is looking for an Entry Level Civil Engineer. The project work will be design on design-bid-build and alternative delivery projects relating to transportation projects. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution
• 0-3 years relevant work experience
• Technical communication
• Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
• Valid Driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Engineer-In-Training Certification
• Working knowledge of CAD, In-Roads or Civil 3D software, and GIS software

Responsibilities

• Collect data and gather information or documents as part of a team
• Perform standard computations and analysis
• Perform basic design tasks
• Prepare drawings and visual aids
• Assist on other tasks such as: preparation of material specification/selection, technical reports, plans and procedures, drawings, permit applications, project documentation, and computer aided design (CAD) work
• Observe construction activities
• Acquire basic knowledge and develop skills in assigned workstreams
• Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established Kleinfelder, industry and client standards, specifications, and processes to perform assigned tasks
• Perform routine technical work not requiring previous experience
• Acquire understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
• Exercise limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work
• Demonstrate sound engineering judgment
