Kimley-Horn's Reston, Virginia (VA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their Surface Water team. This is not a remote position. The role involves supporting a growing water resources practice and working with multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of existing and new public and private clients. You will work in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including surface water management studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, analysis and design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics, and green infrastructure planning and design. Responsibilities include preparing Hydraulic/Hydrology studies, drainage reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for water resources projects. Technical writing will be a key component, including memorandums, feasibility studies, regulatory submittals (CLOMR/LOMR to FEMA), and master plans. You will also assist with developing scopes of work and associated budgets, watershed master planning, stormwater master planning, report or planning level documents, and CIP development.
