About The Position

In this role, you'll be responsible to the assigned manager for performing engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. Join AEP's Transmission Line Engineering team and play a key role in designing and delivering the infrastructure that powers millions of homes and businesses. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact transmission projects while developing expertise in structural, geotechnical, and transmission line engineering.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline in a program accredited by ABET
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in structural, geotechnical, or utility infrastructure design
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

EIT certification or progress toward licensure preferred
Candidates with a Master's degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Acceptable alternative is: Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with a Non-ABET accredited program
