About The Position

Support senior engineers by performing specific and limited portions of their more broad assignments. Produce conceptual plans and specifications for design projects involved in site layout, grading and drainage systems, storm water management, paving and utility design. Manage the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for residential subdivisions, retail sites, commercial developments, healthcare campuses, industrial complexes, multi-family developments and public works projects. Perform design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work. Check, interpret and revise engineering drawings. Plan and conduct code research. Research design options and document findings. Coordinate with other disciplines. Utilize hydrologic modeling software to perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic storm water analyses.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Experience with land/site planning and design of residential, commercial, water services, and/or large industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D techniques and principles is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Must be registered as an Engineer in Texas.
  • 4-6 years experience.
