About The Position

BL Companies is seeking Early and Mid-Level Civil Engineers to join their Land Development team. This role offers hands-on experience in site development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, covering all phases from concept planning through construction documentation. The position involves developing civil site designs, performing site layout and grading, designing stormwater management systems, researching permit requirements, preparing construction documents, and conducting earthwork calculations. The specific title and role will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

EIT certification preferred (or ability to obtain within one year)
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred

Responsibilities

Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop civil site designs for land development projects.
Assist in site layout and grading to ensure compliance with local zoning requirements.
Design stormwater management and erosion control systems.
Research permit requirements and local regulations to support project approvals.
Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and entitlement documents.
Perform earthwork calculations and drainage analysis.
Support permit acquisition and modifications during construction.
