About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support its Southeast region. This role can be based out of Cary, Charlotte, or Greensboro, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing site civil design and project management tasks for various projects. These tasks include site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and overall task/project management.

Requirements

  • 8 years or more of experience in site civil projects
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related
  • PE License in North Carolina

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in land development projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Client facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several assignments

Responsibilities

  • Lead site civil design and permitting efforts for industrial, pharmaceutical, and municipal facilities, including water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and utility transmission and distribution projects.
  • Manage the planning, design, and permitting process to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and Arcadis quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate closely with clients, establish clear goals and objectives for project teams, and coordinate resources and schedules to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.
  • Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approval for projects.
  • Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions.
  • Lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.
