We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in our Baltimore, MD office. The Civil/Land Development Department at WRA provides master planning, investigation, design, permitting/approval and construction phase engineering services for a large variety of site development and improvement projects, including campus/facility settings, planned communities, urban revitalization, and parks and public spaces. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 11-15 years of relevant experience in civil/site land development engineering.
  • Experience with the planning, design, permitting, and construction support of residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial development projects.
  • Stormwater Management (SWM) and Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) design and permitting experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead the planning, design, and development of site and land development projects.
  • Prepare engineering plans, reports, specifications, and permit applications.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members.
  • Assist with construction-phase services, including reviews, site visits, and project support.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, surveyors, and other design professionals to deliver successful projects.
