About The Position

TRC is seeking a self-motivated, self-disciplined Civil Engineer III who can work independently and possesses strong interpersonal and writing skills. This role involves performing a variety of engineering tasks, including initial planning, design phases, and construction support for substation projects. The ideal candidate will manage the civil/structural aspects of substation projects with minimal oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5 or more years of civil engineering experience (preferably in solar / wind development / land development).
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in site development, grading, stormwater design, erosion - sediment control.
• Experience in AutoDesk Civil 3D or Microstation InRoads.
• Experience in AutoCAD Storm and Sanitary Analysis and/or HydroCAD software.
• Responsive attitude when interacting with staff, peers, management, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform as structural engineering responsible for execution of structural calculations and design on a multi-discipline team of engineers executing complex engineering projects for clients in the utility, renewable, and oil & gas industries.
• Coordinate with structural designers in creation and development of construction drawings.
• May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Performs other duties as required.
