About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • 0 to 3 years of experience as a recent graduate or early career Engineer Intern
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals Of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer Intern (EI) with the drive to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines including planning, organizing, and prioritizing work
  • Work occasional overtime hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle.
  • Climb ladders and work on elevated platforms and open grating.
  • Wear personal safety equipment required for specific clients and sites.
  • Pass drug and background screenings required for work at most client sites.
  • Current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical, hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer software.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are paramount, along with a demonstrated commitment to client service.
  • Previous internships or summer experiences in general civil engineering or construction would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in diverse projects, surrounded by a cohesive team of high-performing professionals.
  • Contribute to the design of projects in the markets we serve, with initial work in Public Infrastructure and opportunities in industrial, healthcare, k-12, commercial, and government sectors.
  • Prepare CAD drawings, reports, construction cost opinions, and technical specifications.
  • Design responsibilities will encompass a wide range of types, from roadway, trail, and parking lot design to site grading, and storm water management.
  • Design construction phasing, traffic control, and other site design components.
  • Assist in onsite construction administration and observation, ensuring contractor compliance with contract documents and learning how designs are constructed.
