About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
0 to 3 years of experience as a recent graduate or early career Engineer Intern
Successful completion of the Fundamentals Of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer Intern (EI) with the drive to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Effectively manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines including planning, organizing, and prioritizing work
Work occasional overtime hours.
Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle.
Climb ladders and work on elevated platforms and open grating.
Wear personal safety equipment required for specific clients and sites.
Pass drug and background screenings required for work at most client sites.
Current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Practical, hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer software.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are paramount, along with a demonstrated commitment to client service.
Previous internships or summer experiences in general civil engineering or construction would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Engage in diverse projects, surrounded by a cohesive team of high-performing professionals.
Contribute to the design of projects in the markets we serve, with initial work in Public Infrastructure and opportunities in industrial, healthcare, k-12, commercial, and government sectors.
Prepare CAD drawings, reports, construction cost opinions, and technical specifications.
Design responsibilities will encompass a wide range of types, from roadway, trail, and parking lot design to site grading, and storm water management.
Design construction phasing, traffic control, and other site design components.
Assist in onsite construction administration and observation, ensuring contractor compliance with contract documents and learning how designs are constructed.
