About The Position

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer/Civil Project Manager to join our Linear Municipal Infrastructure team. Our team specializes in the critical networks that keep a community moving and connected, including water mains, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and roadways. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in your field or eligible to register.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering.
  • Proven expertise in municipal infrastructure, developed through 5+ years of experience in consulting or related fields, with a track record of technical leadership.
  • Proven project management and business development capabilities
  • Demonstrated success in the coordination of multidisciplinary projects, project teams and business development activities
  • Strong understanding of the design of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, storm water management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilities
  • Knowledge of contract administration services and requirements, including master municipal construction documents
  • Knowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approval requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in public and agency consultation
  • Strong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential

Responsibilities

  • Project manage/project coordinate a variety of multidisciplinary engineering design projects and project teams to meet client, regulatory, and professional requirements
  • Contribute to functional design, detailed design and construction administration activities of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Interact regularly with clients, agencies, utilities and other project stakeholders
  • Undertake project planning, scope, schedule, financial, quality, communications, health and safety, and risk management in accordance with Dillon’s business procedures to meet business objectives
  • Diversify by collaborating with internal experts across environmental science, planning, and management to deliver holistic solutions that go beyond standard engineering.
  • Assist with business opportunities that align with our sustainability goals and drive responsible growth, including submissions responding to requests for proposals, preparation of proposals and statements of qualification
  • Support leadership in strengthening and expanding existing client relationships, with a focus on long-term partnerships and developing strong, value-driven proposals and statements of qualification.
  • Travel to other Dillon offices as needed to support collaboration, share knowledge, and drive growth across the firm.
  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
