About The Position
EXP is seeking a Civil Engineer for their Aviation Design team in Chicago, IL. This role will focus on projects with major airports across the United States. The engineer will lead design efforts in areas such as airfield geometry, pavement design, lighting and signage, utility installation and relocation, construction phasing, airport access roads, security facilities, and landside transportation facilities. Responsibilities also include preparing contract documents, specifications, reports, detailed cost estimates, and providing construction administration.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of related airport design experience
- EIT or PE
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D or Microstation
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements
