About The Position

EXP's Sudbury office is currently seeking a Civil EIT (Engineer in Training) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional who is eager to build hands-on experience in civil engineering and work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of projects. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Ontario
• 0–3 years of experience in civil engineering (co-op or internship experience considered)
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong willingness to learn and grow within the civil engineering field
• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to an engineering consulting environment through co-op or academic projects is an asset
• Civil 3D experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide support in drafting and design using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D for grading, servicing, and stormwater management for civil/site, transportation, and land development projects
• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, and technical specifications
• Participate in the preparation of engineering calculations and design documentation under the guidance of senior staff
• Support the review and preparation of engineering record drawings and as-built documentation
• Assist with construction-phase support, including site visits, quantity take-offs, and progress documentation
• Help resolve construction issues in coordination with the project team and field personnel
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to team discussions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn best practices in project delivery
