About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafting Manager to help create and manage a drafting group to support a growing civil engineering team. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to support high quality project delivery and continuous improvement across our civil engineering teams.

Requirements

• +5 years of experience using Civil 3D software
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and civil drafting workflows for general civil engineering projects (land surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility alignments and profiles, etc.)
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and standard practices
• Experience developing CAD standards, templates, and automation tools
• Proven ability to lead, train, and support technical teams
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and quality of civil engineering drawings and models using Civil 3D
• Maintaining and evolving company-wide Civil 3D drafting standards
• Create and manage custom tools, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
• Research and evaluate emerging software and technologies to enhance team capabilities
• Serve as a technical expert and problem solver for complex drafting and design challenges
• Train, mentor, and support civil engineers and drafting technicians in Civil 3D best practices and company standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workflows and ensure project requirements are met.
