CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Civil Designer to provide AutoCAD design for our civil engineering company. This civil design position earns a competitive salary and has the opportunity to earn more based on skill set and experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or landscape architecture
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
  • Full range of visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors
  • Valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to occasionally travel overnight

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of CAD civil design experience
  • Certification as an EIT

Responsibilities

  • Designing complete sets of site development plans that include the site geometry, utilities, grading, and drainage as well as the erosion and sediment control.
  • Performing drainage calculations for slopes, sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, and more.
  • Taking each design from concept to construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Analyzing surveys and field notes among other materials to identify potential problems with a project.
  • Completing redlines and revisions as soon as they are called for.
  • Collaborating with project managers to keep them updated on progress and to work out any challenges that arise.
  • Pitching in on the design staff wherever needed.
