About The Position

GHI Engineers and Surveyors is seeking a motivated Civil Designer to join their Land Development team. This role involves bringing concepts to life by drafting and designing site layouts, grading plans, utility networks, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D. The designer will also tackle challenges related to stormwater management and ordinance regulations, collaborating daily with internal teams of engineers, surveyors, and land planners. A key aspect of the role is seeing projects evolve from initial surveys to final construction.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
An Associates in Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in land development drafting.
A sharp eye for detail, a proactive work ethic, and a genuine curiosity about how things get built.
Ability to work well in a team, ask questions, and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

Utilize Civil 3D to draft and design site layouts, grading plans, utility networks, and stormwater systems.
Problem-solve stormwater management and complex ordinance regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams of engineers, surveyors, and land planners.
Observe projects evolve from initial site surveys to final construction.
