Civil Design Engineer
About The Position
Join the KPFF Lacey team in a fun, collaborative and dynamic office setting as a motivated, energetic and passionate civil design engineer with 4-6 years of experience who is eager to expand your design and project management skills. In addition to strong technical knowledge, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, permitting, and preparation of construction documents, as well as technical specifications. Requirements
- B.S. Degree or higher
- P.E. License in Washington
- 4-6 years of experience in site development engineering experience
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the design and construction of major site development projects in Washington
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills are essential
- Competency, accountability, and personal commitment to deliver quality work to our clients
Responsibilities
- Site planning
- Prepare construction drawings
- Analyze and design water, sewer, and storm systems
- Site grading and stormwater management design
- Prepare technical reports
- Prepare project specifications
- Prepare project cost estimates
- Review and submit permit applications
- Provide construction administration support
- Communicate with design consultants, municipalities, contractors, and clients
- Attend site visits
