Civil Construction Foreman
About The Position
As a Civil Foreman, you will lead a small team through the construction, installation, and maintenance of cell towers, small cells, and wireless infrastructure. This includes but not limited to raw‑land builds (access roads, H‑frames, utilities, tower foundations, ground rings) and carrier work (concrete pads, ice bridges, generators, cabinets, foundations, etc.). You will interact daily with customers and subcontractors, complete required paperwork, and communicate progress and issues to the Construction Manager. You will also train, guide, and supervise your crew to maximize safety, productivity, and quality while managing costs and timelines.
Requirements
- Experience with AC/DC power circuits, wiring cabinets/panels, meter bases, and battery installs
- Ability to install/test fiber jumpers and ethernet cables
- Grounding, terminations, bolting, cadwelding, labeling per carrier specs
- Ability to read drawings, piping diagrams, job specs, and testing procedures
- Experience with site layout, excavation, foundations/slabs, tower assembly, trenching/conduit, ice bridge, H‑frames, fencing, aggregate roads, and cabinet placement
- Ability to operate skid steers, mini‑excavators, dozers, and similar equipment
- 3–5 years civil/telecom construction experience preferred
- Civil Foreman experience strongly preferred
- CDL/Operator's License preferred
- Concrete, rebar, precast, trenching, conduit, and utility experience
- Electrical background (AC/DC) a plus
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass drug screen, background check, physical capacity profile, and DOT inspection
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Updated resume with construction experience
- Ability to perform general construction duties (lifting, digging, site layout, cleanup)
- 100% safety‑minded
- Must pass 7‑year criminal background check and 3‑year MVR check
- Must pass drug screen
- Willingness to travel Monday–Friday and some weekends
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman Electrician certification ideal but not required
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all assigned civil construction projects
- Perform daily safety and quality inspections
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Document daily work with photos and closeout details
- Review drawings and communicate job goals to crew
- Report scope deviations and propose solutions
- Plan tasks to meet deadlines and production goals
- Contact NOC/tower owners when entering/leaving sites
- Safely operate and train crew on all tools/equipment
- Verify materials and schedule inspections
- Coordinate progress with subcontractors and owners
- Track job progress and report to Construction Manager
- Oversee crew time reporting and job coding
