About The Position

L Squared Engineering seeks a full time Civil CAD Designer to join our growing office. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to design, maintain and deliver construction drawings.

Requirements

• AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Able to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Local candidates

Nice To Haves

• Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
• Being proficient in using pipe networks, creating surfaces, and creating Plan and Profiles.
• Having an understanding City and County standard design guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers in designing commercial sites, subdivisions, and municipal infrastructure.
• Work from architectural plans and survey files to produce engineering construction plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to work in team environment with other high-quality CAD/Design professionals, PEs/EITs, and Project Managers.
• Understand and use established company standards for drafting including layer names, line types and text styles, using basic AutoCAD functionality.
• Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawing with minimal supervision.
• Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns with project managers.
