About The Position

DK is seeking a Civil Attorney to join their team in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time position involves autonomously managing complex civil litigation and insurance defense cases from inception through final resolution or trial. The role requires conducting high-stakes depositions, preparing technical witness testimony, representing clients at court hearings, and evaluating intricate insurance claims with precision. The attorney will also excel in settlement negotiations and maintain consistent communication with claims professionals, corporate clients, and public agencies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
• Proven experience as a practicing litigation attorney independently managing complex civil or insurance defense caseloads.
• Strong understanding of local court procedures, statutory deadlines, legal research methodologies, and court rules.
• Willingness and capability to scale caseloads across multiple focus areas including product liability, bodily injury, trucking, and auto defense.

Nice To Haves

• Past legal experience handling Personal Injury Protection (PIP) or commercial transportation cases.
• Demonstrated first-chair or second-chair trial experience in state or federal courts.
• Prior background handling cases involving governmental entities, toxic torts, or workers' compensation defense.
