About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Civil Airports Engineer / Project Manager to join our talented Airports team. This opportunity is ideal for a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas who is deeply connected to airport infrastructure design and project management in the Austin area and beyond. SEH is seeking a talented Civil Airports Engineer due to the growth and expansion of our Airports Practice Team within the State of Texas, with a focus on Austin and surrounding communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (required).
• Proven success managing airport design and construction projects and leading cross-functional teams from concept to completion
• Consistent experience leading successful airport engineering projects within various regions throughout the state of Texas
• Candidates residing in Austin, TX and surrounding areas.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects, applying deep expertise in construction standards and methodologies
• Proven experience in proposal writing and client management with demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities
• Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of project delivery
• Prepare comprehensive construction plans and specifications while actively contributing to project estimation and budgeting to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
• Partner with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to define project scopes, develop task hour budgets, create schedules, prepare fee proposals, and lead federal and state grant application and management efforts
• Stay at the forefront of industry excellence by mastering the latest airport design standards and innovative procedures.
