About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Civil Airports Engineer / Project Manager to join our talented Airports team. This role involves leading and overseeing the detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities. The position requires ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of project delivery. The engineer will prepare comprehensive construction plans and specifications, contribute to project estimation and budgeting, and partner with clients, planners, and other engineers to define project scopes, develop task hour budgets, create schedules, prepare fee proposals, and lead federal and state grant application and management efforts. The role also involves staying current with the latest airport design standards and innovative procedures, and fostering an empowered team environment through individual accountability and collaborative contribution.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and WisDOT projects, applying deep expertise in construction standards and methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer license in the state of Wisconsin, or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Proven success managing airport design and construction projects and leading cross-functional teams from concept to completion.
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and WisDOT projects, applying deep expertise in construction standards and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing and client management with demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.
