About The Position

The Civic Season Intern is responsible for conducting research and assisting with program facilitation to help bring interactive civic programming to life for diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate are desired
  • Interest in history, public history, civic engagement, communications, museum studies, event planning, or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortability with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to support programs related to civic history and community engagement
  • Support logistics and preparation for programs, including setup and materials organization
  • Engage with guests through public speaking and interactive programming for Civic Season events
  • Assist with on-site events, which may include working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Contribute ideas for engaging civic programming
