About The Position

Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of employees engaged in set-up, operations, and cleaning of Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum. This role involves managing a team responsible for facility readiness for various events.

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in custodial work or building operations.
• Valid Current Driver's License.
• Knowledge of operations and equipment to set-up and arrange facilities for banquets, meetings, conventions, etc.
• Knowledge of techniques used in custodial work.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Continuously stand and walk.
• Occasionally bend and kneel.
• Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other inclined surfaces.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently push or pull objects.
• Frequently flex upper trunk forward and partially at the knees.
• Frequently rotate upper trunk forward to right or left while sitting or standing.
• Frequently reach above, at, or below shoulder height.
• Frequently drive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise the work of employees engaged in set-up, operation, and cleaning of Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum.
• Interview, select, train, evaluate, and discipline employees.
• Prepare work schedules and assign work to employees.
• Inspect work in progress and upon completion.
• Maintain inventory of equipment including tables, chairs, and portable staging.
• Supervise proper storage and maintenance of equipment.
• Identify equipment to be cleaned or repaired.
• Consult with others regarding event set-up needs.
• Perform related duties as directed.
