About The Position

The Cityflo System Architect will apply processes, methods, and tools as outlined in the program plans. This role supports the System Engineering Manager in identifying technical risks and defining the development strategy. The architect ensures the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of design and specifications, collaborating with System Designers and coordinating with other System Architects. Key activities include leading and participating in system design and specification activities using System Engineering techniques, such as designing systems through conceptual development, integrating end-user input, expert recommendations, and CCN guidance. The role also involves incorporating concurrent engineering phases, ensuring design for testability, reliability (RAM), and safety, and effectively resolving and managing system interfaces. Conducting technical reviews, developing structured system specifications, and integrating requirements related to RAM, safety, subsystems, software, product, and verification & validation (V&V) are crucial. The architect will model systems, manage requirements writing, traceability, and integration, and perform verification activities like document and peer reviews. Configuration management and interfacing with the System Application Architect for project and tender activities are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves preparing program and project documents, participating in material selection and procurement, reporting risks, actively participating in the Change Control Board (CCB), staying informed of technological developments, and contributing to process and product improvement. Support for workload estimation for system design deliverables is also expected.
