The City of Rochester is seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as its next City Engineer. Reporting to the Commissioner of Environmental Services, the City Engineer provides executive leadership for the Bureau of Architecture and Engineering and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the City's engineering and architectural programs. The position manages multidisciplinary professional and technical staff and provides strategic oversight for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public infrastructure and capital improvement projects. This is a unique opportunity to help shape Rochester's future by leading one of New York's most diverse municipal engineering portfolios. The successful candidate will help advance the Rochester 2034 Comprehensive Plan while overseeing projects that improve neighborhoods, transportation systems, public facilities, environmental resources, and other critical infrastructure throughout the city. CITY RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.
