About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a City Dispatcher at our Jermyn, PA Service Center to manage dock and dispatch operations. This is a full-time position with various shifts available, Monday through Friday. The role involves driver and freight handler management, coordinating dock operations, ensuring safety compliance and quality freight handling, and timely dispatching of LTL loads. The company offers PTO after 90 days and an excellent benefits package, including access to employee resorts.

Requirements

• Proven basic leadership experience
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Organizational, Communication, and Logistical skills
• Solid problem-solving abilities
• Computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of quality freight handling
• Prior LTL leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
