About The Position

R+L Carriers is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented City Dispatcher to work in our Houston, TX Service Center office. This role involves managing drivers and freight handlers, coordinating dock operations and scheduling, ensuring safety and quality freight handling procedures are followed, and timely dispatching of LTL loads. The position also includes other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Requirements

• Proven basic leadership experience
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Organizational, Communication, and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred
• Computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas

• Prior LTL leadership experience

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
