About The Position

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, dedicating their time to understanding customers and building lasting relationships by offering trusted financial advice. The role involves using strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with broad financial knowledge, to provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions related to spending, saving, borrowing, and investing. Bankers will identify customers' personal financial goals and suggest tailored solutions for future planning, home buying, or opening new credit cards. They will also introduce customers to digital and mobile banking options, such as the app or ATMs. Collaboration with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking is essential for addressing more complex financial needs. Additionally, the role includes making outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments, recognizing that customer needs evolve. All financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling and compliance with state and local laws and regulations, must be followed.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED required
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Follow all financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling, state and local laws and regulations.
