About The Position

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, dedicating their time to getting to know customers and building lasting relationships by providing trusted advice. The role involves using strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with broad financial knowledge, to offer recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions for spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs. Bankers will identify customers' personal financial goals and recommend tailored solutions, such as planning for the future, buying a home, or opening a new credit card. They will also introduce customers to digital and mobile banking options, collaborate with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking for complex needs, and make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments. Adherence to all financial policies, procedures, proper cash handling, and state/local laws and regulations is required.

Requirements

High School degree or GED required
2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals
Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship
Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions
Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues
Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively
Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS
